Statement of Faith

We believe that both Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of mankind and the final authority for Christian faith and life.

We believe there is one God, Creator of all things, perfect and eternal, existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.  We believe that He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures.  We believe He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of God the Father.

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is ultimately to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and that the Holy Spirit is currently working to convict men to a place of repentance, and then guide, instruct and empower them as believers to live godly lives as they serve God.

We believe that man was created in the image of God.  We believe that man fell into sin and is in need of salvation, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation be obtained and a spiritual life made possible.

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection are the only means for salvation for all mankind.  We believe that those who receive Jesus as Savior are born of the Holy Spirit and sealed as children of God.

We believe that Jesus’ bride, the Church, consists of all who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ of which Jesus is the Head.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the living and the dead believers to everlasting life with our Lord in heaven where He now resides preparing a place for us while unbelievers will suffer eternal punishment.

We believe that baptism by water and participating in the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church.

We believe that marriage is the union of one man and one woman for life.

We believe that gender is assigned by God at conception and should be received as His unchangeable gift to each individual.
